I saw the Buttersprites at the Rendezvous last night. They’re a novelty act who sound like a simplified Cibo Matto and dress like an Asian fetishist’s wet dream.
Although the songs are fairly simple (and occasionally annoying), they’re actually pretty fun to watch. The band has a lot of fun onstage and has a growing, dedicated fan base that adds to the experience.
